Tensara Terms of Service

Last updated: Dec 19, 2025

Welcome to Tensara (“Tensara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Tensara is a platform for GPU programming challenges, benchmarking, experimentation, and community learning.

By accessing or using Tensara (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tensara. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it. You may not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

3. User Content and Submissions

3.1 Definition of User Content

“User Content” includes any code, text, benchmarks, submissions, solutions, comments, metadata, performance results, or other materials you upload, submit, or generate using Tensara.

3.2 Ownership and License Grant

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content to Tensara, you grant Tensara a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:

  • Host, store, cache, and reproduce your User Content
  • Execute, benchmark, profile, and analyze your code
  • Display your User Content and associated performance results publicly
  • Create derivative works such as summaries, visualizations, comparisons, or transformed representations
  • Use your User Content to improve the Service, including infrastructure, documentation, examples, and tooling
  • Use your User Content in aggregate, anonymized, or statistical form for:
    • research papers
    • technical blog posts
    • academic publications
    • conference talks or presentations
    • marketing or educational materials

This license applies even if your submission is marked as hidden or private from other users.

3.3 Visibility Controls

Tensara may allow you to control whether submissions are visible to other users.

These controls affect community visibility only.

Regardless of visibility settings:

  • Tensara may access, execute, store, and analyze all submissions
  • Submissions may contribute to aggregate or anonymized benchmarks and statistics
  • Tensara may retain submissions and performance data indefinitely

Tensara does not guarantee confidentiality beyond reasonable technical safeguards.

3.4 Public Nature of the Platform

Tensara is fundamentally a public benchmarking and learning platform. You should not submit proprietary, confidential, or trade-secret material unless you are comfortable granting the license described above.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to escape or exploit the execution sandbox
  • Submit malicious or harmful code (including malware, cryptominers, or denial-of-service attacks)
  • Reverse engineer Tensara infrastructure or security mechanisms
  • Abuse GPU resources or attempt to bypass usage limits
  • Manipulate benchmarks, rankings, or results

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.

5. Execution, Benchmarks, and Results

Execution environments may vary by hardware, driver, or configuration.

Benchmarks and results are provided for educational and comparative purposes only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, deterministic, or reproducible.

Tensara makes no guarantees regarding performance, correctness, or suitability for production use.

6. Intellectual Property of Tensara

All Tensara software, problem statements, infrastructure, branding, and site content (excluding User Content) are owned by Tensara and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Tensara content without permission.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice.

Upon termination:

  • Your license grants to Tensara survive
  • Tensara may retain and continue to use submitted User Content and benchmark data

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Tensara disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tensara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
